National Museums NI enhances the visitor experience with LS Central and Microsoft Dynamics 365
Working with Sysco Software, we are pleased to announce the launch of LS Central across National Museums NI sites, delivered in partnership with iDyam Solutions.
National Museums NI has taken a significant step in enhancing its retail and visitor operations with the introduction of LS Central on top of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The new system, launched on Tuesday 25th November 2025 at the Ulster Museum in Belfast, has been delivered by Sysco Software in partnership with iDyam Solutions.
This enhancement builds on National Museums NI’s existing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP with LS Central, a modular, cloud-based retail POS and business management software solution that supports operations across the museum estate. LS Central unites sales, inventory, analytics, reporting, and much more on one platform, giving National Museums NI a centralised view of their data for all sites. The software empowers staff to work more efficiently across departments, while visitors benefit from a faster, more consistent experience at every museum location.
As the prime contractor, Sysco Software provided full project governance and delivery, working closely with iDyam Solutions, which supplied specialists in LS Central software. Together, the teams delivered structured discovery and design workshops followed by data migration, configuration, reporting and user training. Dedicated pre- and post-go-live support ensured a smooth transition for front-of-house and back-office teams, allowing National Museums NI to realise immediate gains from the new platform.
Roisin Connolly, Business Central Practice Lead at Sysco Software, said:
“This project puts National Museums NI’s staff in a stronger position to deliver excellent customer service. The new system is intuitive and consistent across all storefronts, connecting directly to finance and giving teams the confidence that they are working with accurate, real-time information. Retail staff can serve customers more quickly and manage stock more effectively while finance teams benefit from a reliable, unified dataset across the organisation.”
Annmarie Avery, Customer Success Lead at Sysco Software, added:
“Our ongoing relationship with National Museums NI is focused on helping their teams get the very best from Business Central every day. By working closely with iDyam Solutions, we ensure that staff across the organisation have the support, guidance and training they need to use the system with confidence. This collaborative approach means National Museums NI can continue to optimise processes, resolve issues quickly and fully realise the value of their unified retail and finance platform.”
Catherine McGoldrick, Retail Manager at National Museums NI commented:
“The successful delivery of the LS Retail system represents an important milestone in National Museums NI’s ongoing digital transformation journey. We look forward to the benefits of the new system driving further efficiencies in our business processes for the growing retail offer in all our museum sites.”
