Air Ambulance NI, our Charity of the Year
DonateAbout the charity
Air Ambulance NI is your local charity that provides the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service for Northern Ireland, together with its partners at the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. The service brings urgent medical assistance to anywhere in the province, operating seven days a week during daylight hours. It can get to anywhere in Northern Ireland in approximately twenty-five minutes.
£2m needs to be raised each year, approximately £5,500 per day, so public donations and continuing support is crucial. As you may know, the service had its first tasking on 22nd July 2017 and on a daily basis we are called out on average twice per day.
We know our fundraising, awareness and support through museum staff, volunteers and visitors, will contribute to one of many costs – it might be fuel, a flight suit, specialist hangar equipment, a flight helmet or helicopter rental and insurance.
